I’d like to welcome, in this forum, Dr. Johan A. Oldekop, our new Postdoctoral Associate in the AUE Lab. Dr. Oldekop comes to us having finished his PhD at the University of Manchester (UK) under the major advisement of Prof. Richard Preziosi. Johan previously worked in the Sumaco Biosphere Reserve in the Ecuadorian Amazon, concentrating on socio-economic factors, the roles of institutions, and land-use in indigenous Kichwa communities. He has published a number of articles, with one in press at Human Ecology. While with the lab, Johan will focus on the socioecological networks and relationships between food security, land-use, biodiversity, and agricultural institutions in the Greater Belo Horizonte region of Brazil.
So, once again, bem vindo Johan!
